Eczema

Eczema is a medical condition. It is diagnosed and treated by a doctor, not by a facial or a new cream. What a skincare routine can do is stay out of its way: fewer products, gentler ones, and a barrier that is kept moisturized.

If you have eczema, or think you might, see a doctor or a board-certified dermatologist first. Nothing in the studio or in the range is a treatment for it.

What helps

  1. 01

    Keep bathing short and lukewarm

Hot water strips the oils the skin barrier relies on. Pat dry rather than rubbing.

  2. 02

    Moisturize straight after washing

While the skin is still slightly damp, to hold in the water it has just taken on.

  3. 03

Introduce one product at a time

And patch test it first, so that if something does react you know which one it was.

  4. 04

Leave scrubs alone during a flare

Inflamed or broken skin needs protecting, not resurfacing. Exfoliation can wait until it has settled.
